Well friends I've got an ordeal here.

Back in January I ordered a sporte grille w/ matching bumper insert from Street Beat Customs. I received the grille but not the bumper insert. I called the manuf. and they explained to me the reason I did not get it was because it had not yet been manuf. @!@$#! They were planning on making it though but higher demand for other vehicle grilles.

Now today after waiting 7 months it arrives and to my dismay it's too big. I called the manuf and they said they couldn't do it for the 98 sport because the bumper was chrome and the whole process is "ICKY" to make it work.

Now I have this nice grille which I really like that I drilled into my factory grille for and I have this insert that is too big.

The way the sporte grille is.....it lays on top of the existing grille and not behind the shell. I tried slipping the bumper insert into the opening to have it show through from behind the opening rather then the front but its too long to fit it.

I was thinking I could cut some off and attach it somehow in there and make it work.

What is behind that area close enough that I could rig something up to mount this against that bumper opening?

They said it would fit the plastic bumper.....and I was talking before about getting a 99 bumper......

this would work.....

I dunno......anyone have a 99 grey plastic bumper for sale??

Suggestions please...

oh yeah

I am def. putting Street Beat Customs on the **** list and transaction section of this site. They earned it !

Got pics? I got a picture in my head of what you're saying, but an actual pic would help.

I'm sure there's some way to make it work.

There's gotta be an easy way to place the screen in from the back. The front bumpers are actually fairly roomy inside. Where there's a will, there's a way!

If you can't get the insert in any other way, remove your airdam and slide it up there and secure it.
