alternate fuel gauge sending unit.
I was looking at jegs and summit racing for fuel sending units. Im also going to use a different fuel gauge i can mount on the dash or in front of the broken fuel gauage in the mounty. Now my question, can i drop the gas tank and mount an aftermarket sending unit on the tank? Also, does the ohm resistance thingy dpend on the gauge im going to use? I hope its just a cut the tank, drop in the new unit and seal it kind of application. Does any one have any insight on this?
