Ok....sorry to post in here twice in a day...but I started the X after the body lift was on and noticed that my battery guage was low....as I went down the road the light became dimmer and dimmer barly making it home. DOes anyone have any suggestions? I tested the output wire on the alt at 11.76v....same at the battery. The alt fuse looks good as do the wires connected to the alternator. I have an hour drive home tonight and I would really like to make it there. THanks.

all i can say is double check all your wires, make sure you havent snagged or overly strechted a wire, srry if this doesnt help, also this could not be a coinsident of the body lift, and it was jstu time for your alt to go to alternator heaven.

I know same time i did my b/l my Poswer steering gear box broke =(

hope ya get it fixed

PEACE

Thanks for the help XplorerKid....I'll tripple check everything. How many fuses are there for the alternator? I've only seen one. Does anyone know?

there is one in your door and there might be one under the hood.

I figured it out! Apparently the fuse number 15 labeled as Airbag System in the owners manual also controls the alternator. I simply plugged this back in and all was well. Thanks.
