1992 explorer eddie bower
hello to all
having a power problem that between my car audio and the heater, as im in cold canada....lmao
that the battery gage is dropping and the power is not restoring to the battery enough.

I have a 1992 explorer, with the 4.0 and it has the factory alternator, and need to know whats the biggest, one that will fit with out mods, to try putting the juice back in the battery,

when i hurn the heater on or use the power windows as the truck is running, the gage goes from a real good power rating on the gage to low near the red, then after a extended period of time, like a day the truck will not start, with a boost, rolls over no problem. the day after the battery will have a dribble of power in it but not enought to roll the truck over

and as a heads up its a brand new 1000 cold cranking amp battery

thanks for the heads up "Rydinhigh"
but in in canada and it would be crazy for me to pay shipping to have the part shipped all that way.

where as i get all parts at a reduced cost in the city i live in.

but thanks again, still need to know the max amp size i can use???

Just how much current is your stereo using? The factory 130A should be just fine. You might have some other charging system problem.

Down on the farm we put on smaller alternator pulleys to get 'dem alternators a chargin'
