Driving home today from work. First the radio goes off. Second the ABS light comes on. Third motor starts sputtering & the rpm gauge stops working, I turn off the A/C & things improve for the moment. 5 to 8 miles later the air bag light comes on & the speedometer stops working. Then another 2 to 4 miles & the battery light came on, so I think ok need a new battery. Get home & turn off & try to start & no luck. Nothing will turn on lights, radio etc. Check all the fuses inside the cab & under the hood. Check the battery connections & clean all terminals & reattach. Try & start no luck, take battery to parts store & have tested, yes needed new one.

While there I mention about other things from my trip home. After discussion I decided to go ahead & replace alternator. Get home installed alternator & battery (thanks Ford easy install on both). After hooking up the battery last, put key into ignition & turn over & nothing. Interior lights go out & there is no power to anything, the starter did not even turn over. Unhook battery & check all cables, everything looks good. Checked starter ground... removed, cleaned & re attached. Hooked battery back up & again turned key & the same thing except this time I hear a noise coming from behind the radio area it is like an electrical clicking sound. I check under the hood but cannot hear the noise from there, can only here while inside the vehicle. So I unhook the battery terminals & check all connections & hook up the terminals again. Try to start & same thing happens.

Can anyone help on what I should do next; I am not very mechanically inclined? I would normally take to my mechanic but he decided to take a two week vacation.
