Just a quick question. I was wondering if everyone could type in where they placed their amp. Thanks

I originally had the amplifier screwed intot he back of the back seats, in front of the flap, so they couldn't be seen. I then made a box for the cargo area and I am hoping to soon move the amplifier into that box. I wanted it where the stock amp was but it was too big - or that area was too small. Dead Link Removed

I installed my Apline v12 in the space were you store the jack. I forget what model Apline amp it is but it’s the one with 200 watts of power. I mounted it to the sheet metal and looks great. Very secure. No wires or amp to be seen and I had room to spare.

i mounted my amps under the(60/40)split back seats the larger one under 60 seat and the smaller under the 4 seat they fit perfect and can't be seen from outside.

Jason,if you installed those amps under the seats, can you still flip the seats down? I looked at putting them there but it seems that you could no longer use the space.

ya they still go down the only thing i was worried about was when they are down it traps the heat (bad for the amp)but it's not like i have the seats down for long periods of time.so pretty much it works fine.

put the amp in there when you get a chance just to see how it will work and look.

I installed mine in the easiest place I could think of, under the driver's seat. The battery in my Sport is on the driver's side so the cables had a shorter distance to run. It's totally invisible from the outside, keeping it safe. This way running the RCA's and the remote wire is a snap, just running them behind the dash and popping out under the door sill.

I put the alpine amp for the fronts(pioneer 3-way's) under the dash. and the alpine amp for the rear (also the pioneer's)under the front psngr seat,it snugs up nice to the rear husky liner, also the sub amp is mounted behind the cargo panel on the psngr side next to the q-logic sub,and the planet audio crossover is mounted in the jack area with the remote for the sub up in front.Kenwood changer is in the console and a kenwood head unit, removable face. very happy with it !!

I mounted three amps in my '98 XLT 4-door. A PPI PC275 in the stock amp location infront of the passenger side wheel well (it drives my rear speakers). The other two amps are mounted/hung (right side up) from the bottom of the rear bench seat. The small one is a MTX 2150X (driving my MTX thunderform sub) and the other is a PPI PC450 (bi-amps my front speakers). I mounted the huge Boston crossovers for the BA Pro 6.53 front speakers under the passenger seat. The rest of the system consists of a double DIN Alpine CDA-W550 and an Alpine 12 disk changer.

I mounted my 200 watt jensen in the same area as the stock amp and mounted my 80 watt front channel amp on the floor under the brake light passenger side.

I found that the best way to retain all of the useable cargo space is to mount the amp in the location of the factory subwoofer. I pulled the whole sub and amp assy. and cut a piece of 5/8" MDF in the shape of the factory enclosure. I carpeted it and mounted my amps to it. I have a four channel Eclipse facing the interior and a four chanel Alpine V12 on the back facing the body. It's a tight fit but there's no rubbing and overheating hasn't been a problem since the Eclipse powers my subs and creates the most heat. The dimensions of each amp are about 13" wide by 11" tall by 2.5" deep.

I mounted my amp under the front pax seat and ran the wiring under the kick panel. Seems to work fine so far since that seat never moves.
