amp question

this has more power than the factory radio/cd , the question is : do I have to take out the factory amp??

Isn't the factory Amp built in the stereo? Or if you have a JBL Factory Stereo there should be an Amp (I think)next to the woofer in the back panel.

I believe in 1998 they built the amp into the HU, but don't quote me on that. If your HU is a big rectangle, the amp is built-in I think... someone else may be able to verify though. But I'm pretty sure that's the case.
