You can indeed put 6.5" speakers inthe doors. I have a set of Boston Acoustics Pros inmy front doors (actually my only doors). I'll try to get some pics up on my website tomorrow.
The first time was a real PITA. To be sure I wouldn't damage it cover, I actualy removed the entire quater panel piece. Then I worked the tabs from the back until the cover poped out.
bigtigexplorer the amp looks great in the pocket and the rest of the setup is very nice, got a couple of questions
Any problems with the amp getting to hot there, it doesn't get much air flow if you have that grille on it.
If you can remember the numbers, how long was the power wire from battery to amp - most of the amp install kits have 20 feet and I want to know if that is enough.
Where did hook into for the remote turn on wire, from the HU or did you find another spot that was closer.
Thanks - my plan is to install a MTX Thunderform and have a MTX 4202 amp on the opposite side where the rear washer tank is, any thoughts on this setup are welcomed.
answers to some of your question's are my amp doesnt get hot AT ALL. so its ok for me. i think my wire was 18ft long and it is pretty close, i mean its almost to short. i hooked my remote into the back of my HU.
What was in that area where that amp is, i have this black thing i think its my stock amp. And would a 1000.1 and a 600.4 fit in there? THat is so phat.
