Hello, where is the best place to place aftermarket amplifiers in the explorer..?
I may only add 2 at the most...

in the rear right quarter panel under the trim.... that is where ford mounted the stock amps on higher model Xs
 






how big are these amps going to be?:D
 






Are you referring to the compartment where the rear washer fluid is..? I was thinking about maybe two Rockford Fosgates....
 






the washer fluid tank is on the left side.... the right side has nothing there......
 






The left side has a small amplifier looking thing in there is that a amp.. I haven't checked the right side yet.. I have the storage compartment...
 






no, on the left side that is your 4x4 shift module,,,,,, the right side houses the stock amp

some people mount their amps to the underside of the rear seat. then it is easier to adjust your amp settings
 






If you use the right side, and have heat generating,high powered amps, you might consider getting a little fan for them inside there. :D
 






If I mount them under the rear seats.. will it interfere with the seat folding down, it looked like a very small space underneath...
 






not if you mount the amps upside down on the underside of the rear seats. then they will fold down all the way.
