An F-650 built for 4x4ing.........I guess, this thing is badas*!!!

It is "officially " a commercial vehicle.

It may be different in other states, but here in California, where that truck is from, all pickup trucks, large and small, are registered as commercial vehicles.

Hey, it sounded pretty good to me. Good BS is an art.

First time poster to this forum. (Be gentle in your initiation rituals please!) But that F650 is just friggin AWESOME! Especially with its original CAT Diesel. It's fuel consumption probably too bad being that it IS a very LARGE Turbo Diesel engine.

How big are those tires? like 40"s?

How much does it cost?

that thing reminds me of the Cayonero from simpsons....when an SUV is like a suburan on 35s compared to everyones cars.

Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
Smells like a steak, and seats thirty five?
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down
It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Hey, hey!
Twelve yards long, two lanes wide,
Sixty five tons of American pride!
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!
Canyonero! Canyonero!
She blinds everybody with her super high beams
She's a squirrel-squashin', deer-smackin' drivin' machine
Canyonero! Canyonero! Canyonero!
Whoa, Canyonero! Whoa!

:D Sorry...

The NAVY SEALS use Ford F-650 and F-750 to haul their boats around, both ridged haul inflatable and the Mach interceptors. They have about 6 based at their base down here in Virginia Beach. Most people stop and gauk when they see these bohemouths towing a 35 foot boat down the road.

Hahaah I bet he bought that one

LOL its funny to see those pictures I remember seeing those when i first joined NJ fourwheelers im a member on that site.

I've seen that truck at Glamis a couple times. He runs it pretty hard and it actually does pretty good. It's definately not a crawler. I saw him running the sand drags at probably 40 mph and it did good in whoops that would have a Explorer with a generic bolt on kit kicking and bucking. I've got home video of it but don't have the capability to post it. That thing has a REALLY loud turbo on it. It sounds like a small jet coming at you....

Hmmm, when you guys made note of the Commerical Vehicle laws. I doubt we have certain restrictions here in the Lone star State. But I have just the truck to get around that oversize rule. I traded an old Hercules Flathead 6 engine for a Diamond T Pickup for a 1951 Ford F7 6x6! It was a conversion done by Marmon Harrington when the truck was new and it has A LOT of custom work done to it. So when I'm finished with my current restoration project. And my X, then I'm gonna work on that F7 which will be turned into a 1950 F8. Who knows, with the engine I want for this monster it might just be able to 0wn that F650.

That is one trick truck!

Oh, my bad, last time I looked at their page, probably a year ago, it said they built it.

I was at In-n-Out one day and he pulled in so I pulled up next to him and took some pics (finally got them back and scanned in):
My truck looks like a toy next to it.

fourwheeler magazine did a three page writeup on it a while ago. it has the stock diesel motor, which is a caterpillar diesel, model number 3126, which is a 7.8 litre streight six turbodiesel. it is the same motor that they put in this front end loader:

i drive this machine all day at work, and i can tell you that it has PLENTY of power for the cat 938, nevermind adequate power to move a truck around.
