Hi folks,

New owner of a 1996 Sport (hence the username!), bought mainly to be a vehicle to haul my dive gear around in, can't do that in the Solstice!

At any rate, I already had to replace the battery, and since the shifter is so sloppy, Summit is delivering a new Hurst shifter today, and next week the K&N FIPK should be here! Happy, joy, repeat. :D

So, my first question will be posted in the Tech section next, hopefully to get a new steering wheel to install. The padding is shot and the leather just creeps all around, and I hate the wraps! Is there a bigger grip wheel available? Something that will work with the cruise control?

Also, what kinds of things should I be looking for, typical breakdown items on this?

Thanks and I look forward to chattin!

Cheers,
Paul

Welcome to the site:chug:

I've got a Hurst shifter in my Explorer and I love it! Much more precise shifting than the stock unit ever had.

Thanks to you too for the feedback! Getting it today, probably install this weekend! Was it difficult? Did you have to cut the stock boot or bezel? Were the instructions any good?? :ack:
I've had Hurst shifters in 3 of my Trans Ams, and there's a Comp+ in the Vette, so I really like them!

:D
