Hey guys.

Got another problem. I cant remember exactly when it started, but it's annoying me now.

Everytime I go over a bump I hear a thudding, a loud thudding and it sounds like something heavy.

I checked the back bumper, since I recently removed a tow hitch. It's solid.

I checked the spare tire, and I can't get it to move.

I have a feeling its either the exhaust bouncing around in its bracket, or it's POSSIBLY a body to frame bushing?

Sounds alittle extreme, but you never know...

Hope somebody can help...

Thansk in advance!

well i guess the first thing you can do is wiggle the exhaust, see if its loose and if you can reproduce the sound you are hearing.

I tried that and it sounded to metallic. Then again it was outside. I hear a definite clank. At least I know It's hitting something.

I'm wanting to get a Dynomax cat-back system for it. It's cheap. I'm not looking for loud. But my old walker system has been on for a few years and its rusting (if you read my old post).

So maybe after time the mounting bushings have worn out?

look at your frame near your ra bushings

Look at the body mounts to see if they are about gone. Could it be the leaf spring u bolts?

I have no idea. I'm almost set because I had my girlfriend sit in the car while I wiggled it around outside. She said it replicated the exact same sound, but louder as there was no road noise added to it.

So as far as that goes. I'm going to replace the exhaust. But I was wondering, could the hanger bushings wear over time and cause that to move so much? If so, how would I go about replacing them?

Thanks for the support again guys!
