I am in the process of planning for a 3" Body lift. My Explorer has a grill guard with an Warn winch on the front right now. When I do a body lift will the brackets to relocate the grill guard be strong enough to still use the winch?

i doubt it, only with some really heavy duty brackets

i said this exact thing in another thread as well.....

o yea....i didnt even notice that jim. haha it was in my threat too (im really oblivious to some things)

Asked the same question to the guy at the local 4x4 shop....He said he has done it before and can do it for me where it would be plenty strong for an 8000lb winch. Even though he said tried to discourage it if a suspension lift was at all possible over the body lift. What ya think?

the suspension lift is definately better, but the 4" suspension lifts for explorers cost way too much:rolleyes:
