I did a search here and did not find the needed info, but I did learn alot about what could happen. Hers my problem..I get a loud grinding noise from the rear when I brake going down hill..semi-hard braking coming to a stop. It is only when I am pointing downhill?

It sounds like bad pads on rusty rotors. I pulled the rear wheels off and the pads and rotor are fine. There is a rusty crud build up around the outside face of the rotor, just above where the polished area of where the pads ride. I thought maybe something was flexxing and the pads were hitting that area( horrible thought). I scraped and rubbed that crud off, but it still does it.
It seems that ever since I put air shocks on the rear , thats when it started, I think, Maybe its just my imagination!

You guys have any ideas??

:us:

Check the emergency brake "pads". They are built into the inside of the rotor if memory serves me.

My E-Brake is a little soft when I push it down. I will check it out!

Thanks

Mike
