another hvac problem (2004 exp. xlt 4x4)

let me start off with it was 102 here today... had the kids in the car and it was pretty miserable... anyways off with the actual problem...

in the winter time i was driving when i head a "click" then the heat went MAINLY to the defrost. didnt pay it much mind (was tired and warm at the time)

The Heat/air comes through EVERY vent to a small ammount and doesnt come out anywhere with much force, however every vent is producing a small ammount of flow.

Im not an idiot, however i do like "professional" advice before i just rip my ride appart without knowing exactly where i need to be looking..

I do have both heat and air.

and most importantly I am on a VERY tight budget and am not scared of doing this completly on my own (if able)

update on this project..


i have pulled the duct flow apart and sure enough, the door has fallen..

however when i try to switch from defrost and such, it still remains the same
could this be a vacuum leak as well?!

but at least i got more flow!

Had the same symptom on my A/C; it was a vacuum problem-bad actuator.
