I just got off the phone with my "new" mechanic. Seems like I'm another X owner with a bad mod valve. My tranny has been slipping for over a month now . Always had low fluid. The first mechanic replaced the tranny cooler for over 400 bucks!
This guy says he can't guarantee that the tranny isn't burnt and that the valve will be the cure all. But I have to take the chance that it is. Cheaper that a rebuild. Since it started giving me problems I have put a couple thousand miles on it and it seems to shift fine. I only had problems at a cold start. Sometimes it would take up to 30 seconds to go into Odrive.
