Hi all,
Picked up a 2004 Explorer XLS last night. My first Ford SUV and it was sort of an emergency buy as the tranny on my Jeep Patriot went - without a replacement anywhere in the country to be had.
I had been half-heartedly looking around for a truck for hauling a trailer and loads of wood pellets, so was looking at some Fords anyway - this one happened to be available, at the right price, at the right time, and at the right place (the small town dealership 3 miles away).
I am looking forward to getting acquainted with the truck; the biggest adjustment so far is the automatic transmission since I've driven nothing but manuals since 1987
. I'm sure I'll have questions down the road, but for now just wanted to introduce myself and do a little perusing of the forum.
And, since I know from other forums that it didn't happen unless there are pics, here ya go:
