I was starting my car with the drivers door open. It struggled to start up and then when it did I noticed there's kind of a washing sound coming from underneath the driver side.

Everytime I hit the gas it came back. Could it be the trasfer case or the starter? I don't know how to explain the sound, but I know it came from underneath the driver side, about where the door hinges are.

I don't know if it matters, but it also just snowed...maybe snow got around the starter and is making it act up until it's dry?

Open the hood & see if you have a drift inside the engine compartment.

Drift as in a breeze?

nope it's all fine. I had actually just gotten back from the auto store getting new support struts. and then reset the PCM. Got back into the car and restarted it and i noticed the sound.
