Another Shackle Question

What do you guys think about using 1/4" instead of 3/8" for the shackle ????
Do you guys have any specs on the Dimensions of them like a 1.5" lift just to level the rear out ??? Also I did look around but found no real answer..

1/4" would scare me, personally. You would have to gusset it pretty heavily to make it strong enough.

Well I found the spec after google searching and I was not sure but I seem to remember a couple people using the 1/4" autozone brackets I think and that was why I am asking..
