antenna broke

Took my X out today for a well deserved wash.. Its been almost a month since it has gone in for a bath. Went to one of the cloth type washes and somehow the antenna broke at the screw. I guess it is time to use a screw extractor. Just out of curiosity has anyone else experienced any similar breaks going through the wash? Reason I ask is because I sent the truck and my other truck through the same car wash several times without problems and then today the antenna broke off. Now on to the other question which type of antenna a shorty or a regular size one?

I have to hand wash mine (no car washes within 365 miles) so I hanen't had that problem, but I did change my antena with one of those short ones. I bought it on ebay. Cant remeber how much I pay, not to much though. I think they called it a euro style antena on ebay. Oh yeah, I really like the looks, kinda diffrent from all the other car around here.

Is your existing antenna power?

If it is, I would definately stick with a regular one. Replacements masts are cheap.
