I have a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport and I am looking to do a little MOD to the stock antenna. For some reason, I never thought that tall silver antenna looked right sticking out of my hood. What I want to do is remove the stock antenna and replace it with a smaller one, something similar to those "shark fin" antennas you find on BMWs. I'm trying to go for a stealthier look. Has anyone every attempting something like this before or do you think it would be possible? Has anyone ever installed a "shark fin" antenna? What's the wiring like compared the wiring on a normal stock antenna?
