I HAVE A 91 EXPLORER WITH 184,000 MILES AND LAST WEEK MY ANTI LOCK BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON WITH NO SIGNS OF ANY PROBLEM UNTIL I PRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND OFF TO THE FLOOR IT WENT WITH A QUICK PUMP THE BRAKES STOPPED ME OK. I WAS TOLD THAT MY MASTER CYLINDER WAS BAD SO I PURCHASED ONE AT AUTO ZONE $45.00 BUCKS AND REPLACED ALL THE FLUID AND THE LIGHT WENT OFF BUT TODAY THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT BACK TO THE FLOOR PLEASE HELP!!!!

Did you make sure you bleed the brakes good enough? That is the only thing I can think would make the pedal go to the floor.

Perry,
I first started by loosening the bleeder valves and letting the fluid run out and then I bleed each side front and back 3-4 times with my dad pumping the brakes we got a little air but not much. Then I drove down the road starting and stopping and then came back and bleed them again. I bleed them enough to get all the old fluid out and nothing but new fluid coming out of all four wheels. I have noticed yesterday that there is alot of noise coming out of the front end when you turn and when you are turning and press the brakes the anti lock light comes on. I am going to check all my wheel bearings to make sure I dont have one wore out or busted? I also am going to replace the rotors and calipers today (still under warranty and it wont hurt while I have it apart). I also am going to replace the pads and check all my lines again. I will let you know what happens. Thanks
