1996 Explorer XLT
Been a member for over a year, this is my first post. Have a 96 Explorer XLT, tonight I hit the panic button by mistake, the alarm went off, I tried to unlock the doors but they would not work. Finally unlocked the doors with the key and started the engine, the alarm shut off but the door locks are now cycling open and shut continuously. The only way to get them to stop was pull the main fuse in the power dist panel under hood. Anyone have any suggestions on how the solve this problem? When I replace the fuse the locks begin cycling again. HELP!!

Im havin a similar prob with my 97 explorer. Someone put an aftermarker security system in and I noticed that it was killin the battery (and kept goin off). I took it out but now I believe the panic button is goin off (battery is almost dead so im not real sure). Everytime I open the the door the interior (and prob the outside) lights flash on a few times then shut off. Also like every 5 seconds I can hear somethin clickin under the dash. Any ideas???

Workin fine now and I researched it and said that a low battery can cause it so im good now . Now on to wax and interior work.
