Hello all ...

Well, let me continue with my "won't start" woes ...

Had the fuel pump replaced about a month ago. X worked great for 3.5 weeks. Then, I drove it home one day. Parked it. Came back out about an hour later to go somewhere - and it wouldn't start. It would crank and crank, but just won't turn over. I checked everything I knew, and finally called a tow truck.

After dropping it off at my mechanics, he called me about an hour later and said that "anit theft" system is engaged and has cut the spark to the engine. He thought it might be the key I gave him (a long shot he thought, but better to try it), so I took my extra set to him. No dice. When he hooked up the computer to the truck, it gives him a code that the theft system is activated and therefore won't let the truck start.

Any ideas? It's unlocked ... keys in the ignition ... I'm at a loss ...

Thanks in advance ...

It may be a problem with the "thingy"(for lack ofa better word) that reads the chip in your key. I am assuming you are using the original keys... If neither key works, then it is probably the device in the ignition that reads the key....

Try locking and unlocking the driver's door with the key.
