anti-theft question

Hi there folks;
I recently purchased a 1997 limited with the v-8/auto/awd. Did this come with the anti-theft system, or was that an option? Any help would be great. If anyone could tell me where to look on my rig for it, i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

You've got the anti theft. When you lock the vehicle it should say "THEFT" to the left of the gear selector on the instrument cluster.

to double check when you lock the vehicle with the remote..press the lock button 2 times and it should chirp
