Hey is there any reason the crankshaft lowest pulley on the blow would have antifreeze leaking from it??
noticed it lastnight late when it was dark,
the water pump and pulley looked dry and clean but the pully beneath them was dirty and had anti freeze on it, the pulley had the triming ajustments on it asd well i'm pretty sure its the crankshaft.
i'll take a better look tonight thanks for anyinfo or help

on second thought where on the waterpump is that weephole that maybe where the leak is dripping from but i'm not sure

Are you sure it's not coming from the water pump or something else? I would think if you're leaking antifreeze at the crankshaft you have bigger problems to worry about.

Edit: you posted before i was done....the weep hole should be right on the bottom visible behind the pulley.

Hey, you're weephole .. is weeping. :p:

(I'm so helpful :))

thanks Izz does the weephole weeping mean anything? are seals in the pump going

You got it -- a weeping weep hole is a warning that the front seal is about to go on an extended vacation (to somewhere warmer, and perhaps where the economy isnt so terrible ;))

Before sending up the flag on the water pump, it could be the thermostat housing... The t'stat housing it up on top of the motor in the middle, so if it leaks off the front of the motor from the hose on the bottom of it that runs to the water pump, it can appear to be a pump leak. There's a short hose that runs to the pump, and a second one that runs around the side of the motor to the heater core... either could leak, run down the front of the motor, and imitate the water pump leak.
