I hate to start a new thread on this but I just couldn't find my answers anywhere with search. I've just come back from T Haven and I'm wanting to do a spring over axle in the rear of my '92. I've heard you can buy your own spring perches and to the conversion yourself. But is it possible to just buy the Superlift or any other 5.5" kit for the front only? The Superlift site isn't very helpful. Thanks.

Got bit, didya?:D

I thought the Superlift 5.5 was essentially nothing but a front lift and a pair of brackets to do the springover in the rear.

See you on the trail again soon.

Ranger X I guess you're right about the superlift, But it is my understanding that they're the only ones who do a spring over in the rear. I want to do the SOA in the rear but I wanted more choices for the front (because of Superlift's breakage and sagging problems)without throwing half the lift in the trash. Get it?

Seperate puchase

Yes it is possible, i bought my 5.5 " front brackets and drop pitman arm from superlift and then i gusseted and rewelded the brackets, i bought my springs from national for my truck .. 6.5" lift, and i did my own SOA in the rear and added my own 8" shackles. So yes it is possible to buy indy pieces, just call superlift and tell them what you want, they will sell them to you.
Hope this helps, dodgerr

Yes, that helps a lot. I hope everybody is this way.

I have a SOA writeup in Explorer projects that is helpful, let me know if you have any other Q's but that should sum it all up. As far as up front, I would go with the Skyjacker 6" kit
1-800 Softride and they will tell you the part numbers needed and you can order it from 4wheelparts.com or someplace. It seems the front brackets by jacker seem to be pretty tough to beat, haven't seen a complaint here yet.

If you are looking for the brackets I might have some stuff for you email me and let me know if you are interested. I bought a superlift 5.5 from someone on this site and used a couple of parts but I will not use the axle pivot drop brackets or the drop pitman arm and I have some other stuff too.

Most kits, including Superlift have seperate part numbers for the front and rear. All you need to do is order the boxed kit for the front and you can do whatever you want for the back.

I understand your pain about wanting a lift. I was about 90% sure I was getting a lift for my Ranger before Truckhaven, now I am 110% sure. :D Especially after following Ranger-X around, I need a better breakover angle... Damnit RCD, hurry up!
