Over the last 2 weeks the warning light on the Dash for the SLS has come on 4 times Twice while stationary with engine running for around 10-15 minutes. Other 2 times it has been while driving on M6. When the lights come on the "feeling" of the suspension hasn't changed and its still been driving as good.
I'm wondering wether it may be a loose/bad connection that could be causing it?
Anyone got any ideas, and if it could be a connection where should I start looking??
Cheers axl

Well do check all the wiring back there, it is probably just that, start at the switch in the rear besides the jack, then trace the wiring, also you will have to get under the back and find the pump and its wiring, dont just look at them, if they unplug, take it off and look for corrosion and loose fittings. Hope that helps mate.
let us know how you get on please.

Compressor "clicking" but Nothing else

Still trying to check the Self level suspension. I've found out now that everytime the doors are opened a second after there is a short clicking noise around the rear suspension as if the compressor is trying to work.
Is there anywhere I could find some better pictures & info regarding this as the details in worshop manual are rubbish??

1 other thing i've found is that the Power Distribution Box (fuse box) under the bonnet is different to the one which is shown in the owners manual.

The one thats in approx 12"x4" in size and at the left end there are 14 large fuses in 2 rows at the end consists of 5 relays and 8 small fuses across the centre.
The one shown in the manual shows 2 rows of 5 large fuses divided by 12 small fuses and then different relays at other end.
Can anyone let me have diagram of the PDB that I have showing what fuse/relay is for, or tell me where I could find it.
Again all the Workshop manual does is shows you the picture but give s no info about wots in!!

Cheers

Looked under back axle today trying to find the compressor. Didn't actually get that far coz
while looking I found 2 'bars' hanging loose 1 hanging downwards & other seems to be attatched to back of frame pointing to rear & seems to be able to move up or down if attatched to say a spring. At the free end there's 2 approx 1" long - 1/4" 'bars' attatched at right angles, the first approx 1" from end & other approx 1" from that. I also found hanging down what looks like a 6" plastic 1" tube with a "spring inside.
I moved the bars about and then the "tube"- with the engine running- and all of a sudden the compressor came to life and the truck started to go up. So I presume that these bars & the "tube" are the -rear height adjuster, rear fill solenoid & rear gate solenoid ?

I presume they all join together? Has anyone got or know where I can see some "good" pics showing the set up and how it is all connected?? Cheers
