Hello, Im about to get my Explorer back from the shop tonight. When I bought it, it was making horrible vibrations and noises up front and pulling, I knew almost instantly it needed a new wheel bearing, So now that the bearing is good to go, Im wanting to get the most out of my new Explorer (While keeping it about 98% stock) Im mostly interested in getting more miles to the gallon out of her..I know I know, shes a 5.0 with 155k miles, shes probably NEVER gonna see 20mpg, but its still always worth a try.
Currently on my list are the changes/improvements below. Id love for the experts to fill me in on their suggestions (Brands, etc)
-Flush Radiator/refill
-Flush both Differentials/Refill
-Flush Tranny and Transfer case/Refill
-spark plugs/wires
-oil change
-cold air intake system (K&N 57 Series is what Im currently looking at)
-And Of course.. SEAFOAM! and fuel cleaning system a few times around.
any other ideas??
