You found the right forum... do some looking around in this forum and I'm sure you will find a load of info. Everything from superchargers and nitrous to V8 swaps.

Nitrous would be the easiest thing. But if it were me go with a SOHC 4.0L obd2 swap and turbo! I've seen one of those turboed sohc 4.0L in here!LOL...

No really, try JBA headers, MAC or Magnaflow for a cat-back and a CAI,BBK throttle body for the ohv v-6 and a C&L 73mm maf as well as the ASP underdrive crank pulley. (MAC is working on some pullies or so I hear through the grapevine) and put a good tune up on your truck and if it is auto I would go with a 3.73 gear. This should put you within breathing distance of a stock 4.0L SOHC!

I went to the MAC site to check their Air Intake Kit and found nothing but negitive comments from people that bought. Mostly installation trouble. No one mentioned any improvement. I have a 01 Explorer sport and need a good intake kit. Is the K&N generation II intake kit comparable? I've heard good things about them. What's the advantage of MAC other than price and the looks? Just trying to figure out which one to buy.
