Anybody know how many quarts..

it takes to fill front and rear diffs? Or is 1 quart enough for each one? Thinking about swiching to synthetic(mobil 1). Also, how many does it take for transfer case?

Any help appreciated.

If I remember correctly the front diff takes 2 quarts, rear diff takes 2.5 quarts and the transfer case should take about 3.5 - 4 quarts.

Front Diff - 1 3/4 quarts
Rear Diff - 2 3/4 quarts
xfer case - 1 1/4 quarts


I got that from the Specs section in the repair info on www.autozone.com
