anyone ever heard of SPL audio? I seen a SPL subwoofer that is a dual voice coils and handes up to 250 watts. they are only 29 bucks so I was curious if it would be a bad mistake to get 2 of them.
I believe there are good deals to be had in the audio world... I also believe that you get what you pay for... I'd find a better sub on sale if I were you... I don't think you'd be happy with your $29 subs... Check out www.thezeb.com they've almost always got something on sale... I've got a single Audiobahn 12" that I've been happy with, and I only paid $120... It was normally $300+...
Also I know Rockford Fosgate will often have 2 for 1 sales... But I think they are their low end subs...
Alright I think I might look around some more. I am thinking of getting a dual sub setup. I have one now but I dont listen to alot of bass or anything realy loud and im on a tight budget right now so Im just getting Ideas.
i would stay away from the cheaper audiobahn subs too. i run audiobahn components and have a lot of experience with the company. they are far more prone to breakage than the comperable offerings from kicker, mtx, rockford fosgate etc. for cheap subs i'd recommend going with the low end model from one of the major companies and getting a nice warranty on it (just probably not audiobahn though)
depends r u looking for all out spl or you want some nice SQ in there also? if so id go with kicker over audiobahn any day. The new kicker CVR 12's sound hella good and for under 100$ a pop. Those are the best bang for the buck my friend
audiobahn are SPL woofers. low end kicker are not. Also, i ran audiobahn natural sound subs for six months with no problems. I dont care what people say, audiobahn is a quality company... they use good components and they are great SPL subs.
ok, this is a really strange discussion. by no stretch of anyones imagination is a cvr kicker a sound quality sub.
like i said i run a lot of audiobahn stuff and have installed much more of it, i just highly recommend sticking with their more expensive stuff if you want it to last.
my first experience with ma audio was with their semi-entry level sub the XE, about a 40/60 balance of SQ/SPL.... rated at 700 watts max, took 1kw-1200 clean watts just fine!
