2021 Ford explorer xlt
Just bought a '21 xlt about a week ago and I noticed that the panals for covering the side pockets in the floor are missing. I called the dealership and was told they don't come on all models. Offered to order me some but I would have to pay for them. $150 for two reletively small pieces of plastic. Has anybody else had them not some with the car? Or is the dealership full of it? Thanks. Pictures for reference.

Are you sure they are missing? My recollection is that the cover can be removed and slid into a slot that then creates a side bin separate from the one in the middle. So perhaps yours are currently installed that way. Of course, I could be dreaming this up too...

You are correct that they can be slid in vertical to create a bin. And if I remember right mine were in a plastic bag under the center cover when I picked my ST up.

That's where mine were in my 2020 xlt.

Thanks for that info! I picked up my 21 XLT late Feb. and just assumed I did not have the side covers. I just went out and looked, sure enough they are stored in the sides to separate the sections. Funny, the window sticker had an extra cargo management system that I thought would be this, but not seeing anything I thought it was just an over priced cargo net.

You are correct. I was perplexed for a while and then a buddy who has one (got them at the same time) called me to let me know his were in the upright position. I was pretty happy as I had got the quote just a few minutes before from the dealership and was still sticker shocked. Went out to mine and no luck mine simply has none to be found at all...

The only thing that was under that center panel was the rubber mat for said location. The carpet floor mats were already (freshly) installed when I drove it off the lot.
