Ok, I have the decks amp pushing my stockers right now, and I can't get the bass out of them. Tried turning down all the EQ settings, but they are still getting bass, and distorting out at higher levels, anyone familier with this deck that can give me any help? I got my two 12inch audiobahn alum12qs hooked up today, sounds great aside from the crappy stock speakers distorting when I crank it up. I am going to get new components soon, but for now, these must suffice. They are the mach speakers.

First off your speakers were'nt meant for deep bass. If you have a hi pass filter on your cd player turn it on, that will save the speakers from trying to focus on low bass, and focus on midbass and highs. Thats about the only option you have other than sound proofing the doors, that will make them sound alot better also.

Yeah, I have been trying to tweak the built in EQ to get all the bass out of the factory speakers, but there is still some running through, I need to mess with it a little more and see where it leaves me.

I have the same problem...I can't get the bass out and the EQ sucks. What everyone told me to do involved first getting aftermarket speakers, and then either getting crossovers, or going thru a channeled amp with a built in crossover, so looks like ur just gonna have to listen to sh!tty bass for now, althought I found one thing that helps is fade it to the back a little like 2 or 3 I don't hear the distortion as bad when it's in the back lol

heh yeah, I have my memphis 4 channel amp sitting in the back seat, guess I will order up some components this week. I can't handle crap, heh

its not the EQ you want to adjust. You want to adjust the crossovers. The 9833 has 3way active crossovers that you can adjust. Simply adjust the crossover so that your front and rear speakers cut off at 80hz with a slope of 18db/oct. Then set crossover for the sub to pick up @ 80hz witht he same slope of 18db/oct
