anyone fixed a rear hatch dent?

Someone hit me in a parking lot and didn't care to leave a note. Anyway the tail light is smashed but that's an easy buy and fix. The back hatch is dented on the left and i wondered if anyone has ever pulled the inside plastic off to fix that. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
