I am looking for a set of new 255/70/16 for my limited. I finally found a set of the stock wheels. (sold mine along time ago and regret it ever since). I want a set of any style. Winter, all Season, or Mud Terrain. I know about Tirerack.com and discounttire.com etc. Anyone have ideas? I am a "balla on a budget." Maybe I will just sell my 20" Helo Rims and get some Nice michelin tires for year around use?
Thanks
Rob

check out cooper tires, and look for a distributor near you. or general.

Same here bud. lol, never thought of putting it that way. lol

I believe I coined that phrase, along with "quarter life crisis" but I could be wrong.

http://www.treadepot.com has free shipping thru the midnight on the 17th.

My local Discount Tire will price match online, as long as you have the printout showing the total after taxes, shipping, etc.

What kind of budget are you talking about?

I just picked up my Bridgestone Revos for about $650 installed.

I've been running Michelin LTS M/S's for 93,000 miles now... They were excellent in the snow, rain, and slush, for an all season tire. They make a great all-around tire for anyone that spends most of their time on-road. In the mud, they're about useless, but in all other conditions, they're great!!

I'll be replacing them (hopefully) this week. I'm still on the fence, but after reading all the info I could (including the Tire Rack reviews) I'm considering the Michelin LTX AT2's... They look like they'll be a good compromise of an all-season tire and a mildly-aggressive off-road tread.

I just found a set of 265/70/16 Bridgestone Duelers. Do these fit a 1999 Limited? Factory Size was 255.70.16 on my truck. They have excellent tread and came off a 1999 4runner. Let me know asap huys if you know!
Thanks
Rob

No, those tires are wider, the first number is width in millmeters, second is sidewall height (percentage of the width) and the last number is rim size, the only thing that should differ is the second number, depending on how tall you want the side wall.

I was looking all over the site, and nearly everyone said the 265/70-16 will fit. OPLITIC do you know for a fact they wont fit? SOme other users have had them on with no problems. They are supposed to be equivelent to a 31" tire in a 15" rim, and I have had 31x10.50x15 on my truck before.

they should fit. They are only 1 cm wider than the stockers, i highly doubt that they won't fit.

I plan to get 265/70/16 later this week when I get new tires. From what I've seen they should fit no problem. Someone ran 265/75/16 on their 01 ST early and they had no rubbing issues... I think I'm going to get some Firestone Destinations A/Ts...

yeah, these are like 30.6x10.43x16 technically, so 31x10.5x16.
