The UPS man brought me my CDA-105 today. :D I'm still waiting for the dash kit and iPod cable to come regular mail, though. :( I've been thinking about getting the Alpine Power Pack KTP-445.

It's a four channel amp that just plugs into your head unit, so you don't have to run any additional wires. It outputs 45w RMS, which is just 5w less than Alpine's MRP-F300. It costs about $40 less, and I'm sure I would save that much on wiring also.

It can be had on eBay for around $100 including shipping. Just wondering if anyone here has used it and what they thought of it.

I'm pretty much set on it so that I don't have to run new wires to all my panel speakers. I might have to do the passenger side anyways, cause I think it's got a short. Whenever you open the passenger side door the speaker cuts off, but cuts right back on when you close it. I'm hoping it's just the stock speaker though.

never heard of it before but seems like a good idea. Where do you plan on mounting it tho? If it just plugs into the deck then are you planning on hiding it under the dash? If so then Id worry a bit about sufficient airflow to cool it.

If ur gunna mount it else where then ull have to run the wires anyway same as running a normal 4 channel.

Yeah, I was planning on mounting it somewhere in the dash, maybe just under the head unit. It's got about six feet of wire on either end to give you some options on mounting. I think it's designed to be mounted in the dash, so I'm hoping airflow won't be a problem.

I have the power pack hooked into my cda-9886. Sounds great set at 45w rms. Very, very easy to install since it comes with a lot of wire length. I have it mounted behind my glovebox. oh and i have it hooked up to these:
