I had been lookin at the EE billet grille, but I really like this style of grille.... I was thinkin about the EE 5.0 grille but I've seen comments about crappy quality, with this its like gettin both!

it nice, grillcraft also makes a even nicer one IMO

the Grillcraft looks good too, but I think the street scenes is more what I'm lookin for.

nice, i love mine. im trying to snag a bumper insert. truckperformance has good deals on the speedgrilles for only like 110

check my sig for what the street scene looks like on a 02 sport, not the exact same thing but it will give you an idea. The grill craft grill is a solid piece that is a little to straight for my taste. The street scene sort of bubbles out at the viewer but the grill craft is flat.

The grille looks good..that just made up my mind. How much was it/where from and how hard was it to install? thanks

(nice X)

www.calcarcover.com has the satin ones for like 129, easy to install. Just gotta do minimal cuttin and take the front end off

I have had one for almost a year now... I love it but it may be for sale soon. I have something new cooking.....

As for install the screens are very easy, BUT... you have to remember that is you install one on a 95-97 you will not ba able to reach inside your grille and open your hood!!!!

I installed a 98 hood latch on mine instead to fix this problem...... that took a little drilling, cutting, tapping, and grinding.......

you also need the 98 and newer black plastic under the hood... the peice that covers the gap bewteen the grille and the front frame ( hand the hinge flaps to gain access to your light bulbs.....

Pur Pony,

You just opened up my eyes. I just got my 97 Mounty this past week and I've been looking for billet grilles with absolutely zero results. When I read your post I realized the fact about the hood latch having to be accessible. Do you think if I went with a 98 latch I'd be able to get a polished/billet grille for a 98-up to fit my vehicle?
How much is involved in the 98 latch conversion?

Thanks for any help.
Lou.

Double post.

I have a billet grill on my 95. All you have to do is keep a screwdriver or something like that to open your hood. Simple.

Hartman,

Nice-looking truck. Could you tell me what brand of grille that is? Also, do they have the bumper inserts? I just installed a '98 hood latch to open up the possibilities for more available grilles.

Lou.
