Hi and welcome.
As Sandy has indicated we are always looking for new places to legally wheel. So what kind of places are you refering too?

Theres alot of places around here in Berkshire county. October mountain is a great place I've found myself up there for hours just trail riding theres a great mixture of Light trails, mud, obstacles, and some rock crawling can be done. There is about 4 mountains all with hours of trails within 15 minutes of my house. I love it i couldnt see myself not being able to go up in the woods at least once a week.

Sounds cool
Hopefully we'll have some sun before all the leaves are blown off the trees. I for one have never been to the Berkshires and would love to check them out this time of year.

Do you have any trail pics you can share? And are the trails legal to run on?

I dont have any pics on the trails ill bring the camera with me tommorow. As for as being legal yes, i was up on October mountain when there had benn a bad ATV accident and i was talking to the state police and they didnt mind and i have also talked to the enviromental's. There's is actually dirt raods that some people use to commute. There is also many mountains and trails around here that are not state property and the owner's are cool about letting you wheel as long as you dont leave any trash.

That bad ATV accident was a guy on a 660 raptor who busted his collar bone was it? That was a riding buddy of mine. I ride my ATVs in those parks up there. Wouldnt mind meeting up with you guys either the last weekend in october or any weekend in November.

That'd be cool; then i can meet the DRIVER of the X Ring and not just the truck. Maybe after this crappy week we'll have some nice goopy mud to play in? :)

You'll like him Isaac. Gary is a really cool guy. I am glad the rain has finally stopped.....a week of rain is depressing as anything......only fun was plowing my Explorer through the deep puddles behind the building where I work :D

thanks sandy. Oh yeah it should be plenty muddy. One of the reason I didnt go riding my ATV this weekend was that there was too much water. Part of the trails were just unpassable. But we could meet up and hang out up there (western mass). Some nice trails and cool parts

You're welcome Gary. Anyway it's going to be very muddy for some time.....it's going to take alot of time to dry out after all the rain parts of New England got this past week, Parts of Connecticut got up to 12 inches of rain. Now had it been winter........10 inches of snow for every inch of rain would have been.......10 feet in one week.....the ski areas would have a field day.......after roads were cleared and everything............I remember a blizzard in the early 70's that literally shut the state down for 3-4 days.....and that was about half of what this rain storm would have dumped in snow if it had been cold enough

A trip up to the Berkshires sounds like a lot of fun, I've never been there either. All that has to be done is set a date where most of us can be there.

Nope, actually the officer said it was a fatal accident. But i never read anything about in the papers so i'm not sure? It was around this time last year. I went up yesterday and most of the trails are pretty washed out i had a tough time making it over some rocks but other than that is was real muddy. It was cool to see the streams flowing down the mountain so hard.
