I was trying to remove my instrument cluster so I can change out some burned out bulbs and when I was under the steering wheel I found this black box with wires cut. It is located right under the clutch and the emergency brake. I think this might be the stock alarm box, there are no markings on it through, opened it up and there are two circuit boards inside of it. Doesn't seem like this should be the spot it is suppose to be, the wires are wrapped around the other wire bundles. And there is a green/white wire that is cut.

Could this possibly be why I am having electrical problems with my hazard/reverse lights?

How about now? Not sure whats up, trying to do my tune up right now though

Looks like an alarm.....Disconnect it and see if everyting still works....does it have any writing(Brand name) on it?

On the circuit on the inside it says Ford. I know the X had a stock alarm but the previous owner disconnected it. Which is what I think might be the source of my electrical problems. Seems like it is the only thing the previous owner did to her, so mistreated and so little time for me to fix.

I'll try disconnecting it
