I am looking for a different 4-channel amp, is this any good? I know that audiobahn is a decent company, just trying to re-assure myself.

if i were you and had a jl w7 and focal components i would spend the extra dough and get a better amp
just my opinion

I thought that Audiobahn was a very reputable company? I've never had any personal experience with them, just what I've heard. Is there something bad about this line of amps?

i have found out that audiobahn has went downhill after the past few years
i just would think with the kind of quality you have now you would want to get a more quality amp
what kind of amp do you have running the w7?

Well the w7 is sitting in my room, I planned to get the JBL 1200.1 soon, but a reckless driving ticket is keeping me from doing that for now. What do you think about the new MTX amps? I've heard their amps are pretty tough. I really want a JL 300.4 but they tend to get kinda expensive.

I had one, the MTX amp, and it was awesome, it was a little workhorse. I still have it and it works perfect, it has been beat up, dropped, gotten wet and never even so much as blew a fuse, it was an awesome amp.

I just bought a MTX 801D mono block amp and it kicks ass,the amp never even gets warm,I have it powering 2 rockford he2's with no problem at all:D

Thats funny I think the quality, (for the most part) has gotten better....
Open up an old 2200E vs a new 2201T? and you'll see the difference... oh wait thats right, another person posting without experience......
Anyways I think audiobahn is a fine company, and before someone starts up the arguement about it being sold at circuit city.... so is MTX, so dont go there....
IMHO If you want an audiobahn amp, I'd get the higher end series, the intake series is now the cheapest series of audiobahn amps, making them more affordable for the average joe! Maybe if $$$ permits try a 4125Q/T amp, the high current amps, the ones Iv'e played with were very high quality, and sounded real good!

as for posting with no experience you need to find someone else to talk about
i have my own car audio and video buisness and am a major carrier of AudioBahn
with that out of the way, you cannot compare the quality of an AudioBahn product with some other more impressive names
alot of people like them for the money and because they are pretty and chrome but at true testing they rarely put out what they say they can
If it were me since you have neither amp for your system yet save up and buy matching amps to make your install look as nice as it could sound
jl makes kick ass amps but they are rather proud of them and the price reflects that
BigGreen: if you are interested in an amp and would like for me to give you a little more input and pricing on what i could get you please email me at sypako@charter.net
thanks

Nice accomplishment I applaud you, however I was not concerned with other types of amps, nor did I even mention them, with the exception of off topic conversation with MTX. Anyways I was merely defending a little bit of audiobahns status.... As should you strangley enough being an audiobahn dealer... whats the matter not selling enough of their products?
More impressive names?? Its all in the opinion chief... whatever, clearly if youre bashing a product you sell somethings wrong.....
Finally I was posting my OWN personal experience, if you have a problem with this.... oh well....

never bashing a product and you talked yourself about one amp not even the one in mention so open up what you like and look at what you will and ill sell audiobahn all day long if someone asks for it but i dont push them like i do other brands that i have had less shall we say fry time with

Actually I do have the Focal components amped right now, its just that one of the front channels decided to go out. The amp is a MTX 4244, 60x4. Worked wonderfully until the passenger side speaker began to pop. I want another good qualtiy amp, and not a lower end model. I have heard great things about audiobahn, I just want a little better series. I saw it for a good price so I asked about it. More looking and research is needed.

i have always been real happy with mtx i myself used to run a pair of them on 4 15'' jl audios good luck and i hope you find a good deal
