I'm looking into buying one from this board and wanted to know if there is anyone running one and what they have to say (good or bad). Also if they have a 4 door, I'm curious to how it will do with the long wheel base. Any and all input is welcome. Thanks people!

Is this becoming a street X site?

Where are the big dawgs?

Anyone?

Keep in mind it's a lunchbox locker and you will get clunking noises from it because of the added backlash to the system. That's pretty much all I know about it.

Ah, a response. Thanks. Yes I aware of the "clunking" noise. But I'm tired of being open front and back and I can't afford an ARB or OX.

dont know about the rear of an X, but ive got one in the front of my early bronc. i love it. the "clunk" is very minor, not loud at all (like a full detroit). works great. never had a traction problem like with the limited slips.

james t: Thanks for your input. How long have you had yours in and do you remember what you paid?

ive had it in about 2.5 years, and i paid dealer price for it. i have a friend with a truck acc. shop, and he got it for me for around $200- i really dont remember exactly how much it was.

I paid $280 for mine. It clicks a ton when going around corners and chirps if you get on it going around corners but you get used to it and otherwise it works great. I do know mine is there everytime I drive the truck, I have adjusted to driving with it but the goods totally outweigh the bads.

Okay, hopefully this isn't just totally useless info. Isn't the EZ Locker pretty much the same as the LockRight? If so, we ran a LockRight in the rear of our old CJ7. TONS of offroad milage and about 80,000 of overall use. It never had one problem. We pulled it out at around 60,000 and it looked as good as the day we put in.

Vibes.... Off topic, are you planning on truckhaven again this year?

I have one up front in my 4 door. Havent done any wheeling with it yet (been in for 1 month) but it seems to work good testing it in a dirt lot. Very little noise, seems to unlock while turning. Installation was easy once I figured it out and made some modifications.

I just put a real Detroit in my 8.8". No noise at all, no popping, clicking, banging. If you get on the gas in a sharp corner, it will lock up. Otherwise you wouldn't know it there...

Thanks for the replies people!

I went ahead and bought it!

sirhk100: Yes I was hoping to. What are the dates? What about you???
