Jacobs Electronics has the easiest to install DIS system on the market! Designed for newer cars, trucks and SUVs, our testing has shown impressive gains in HP, torque, and mileage. Connects using factory OEM connectors (NO cutting wires!) and installs in minutes - not hours! Acceleration spark technology, digital capacitive discharge & multiple spark. Safely drives the OEM coil packs. Sold with Jacobs Energy Core spark plug wires for maximum performance. Vehicle specific mounting brackets and instructions!

I question the value of 15hp when it costs $300 and up. I like the spark wires jacobs sells, but I don't know about a DIS system.

Mark,

I'd like to hear what your results were with this. Keep us posted. If possible, try a dyno run before and after to see if/what the gains were.

Thanks!

I primarily will use it on my T'bird SC for which I know it works very well. High boost/compression and premium gas requires a good spark. I bought the wiring adapter for the SOHC V6 in addition and will try it out on the Explorer. We shall see if their claims of more power and better mileage are true. They do offer a money back guarantee.

I would like to know if anyone uses the Jacob's plug wires, and what they think of them. Their marketing claims their the best wires.

Raven2,

I use Jacob's plug wires, and I think they are the best. I installed a set of wires, Autolite platinum plugs, set the gap to 0.060", and noticed a difference. The wires also carry a lifetime guarentee, so when you pull the metal clip out of the spark plug boot, you can get a new wire for free!

I also have (had?) the DIS box on my truck. Custom, vehicle-specific brackets were not included (they suggested mounting in front of the radiator - bad idea). The wiring was quite simple, however. Unfortunately, my box seemed to have a problem, so I sent it back and am waiting for a replacement. We'll see if this makes a difference.

Jacobs does make good products - I know of several other people that have not had any problems - I've also heard that the Ford DIS is a very good system, with little room for improvement. We'll see, as soon as I get my replacement from Jacobs.

I also have the Jacobs wires with NGK Platinum plugs gapped at 0.060 and have been very pleased with them. Noticed an immediate improvement in performance and fuel mileage.

For those who have or will soon install a Jacobs DIS system, please update us on your experiences.
