So I've heard both sides of this story, that they can't be painted because it will chip no matter what, and some say with the right prep process it will last fine.
I know the owner of a body shop who I'm going to visit today and see what he has to say, but these SEM products seem promising. I'm thinking about buying all the equipment and having them do the actual painting, as I don't have a sprayer and I'm afraid of getting brush marks on my bumpers.
Questions to those who use these products:
Has it held up well? What about stone chips and the like?
Can it be waxed and all shined up the the body paint?
Does it hold up to a high pressure car wash?
Thanks. Pics would be nice if anyone has them. Also, an estimate of what the cost of materials were would be nice.
