I may have an in for getting sets of fiberglass fenders made cheap.

Im wondering if there would be a need for them in this forum.

The vendor already had the molds but needs more then one set made to make it worth their while.

These will mount just like stock fenders

Please let me know if anyone would be interested in these fenders. Here are a few pix of them on a race X.

again mods, Im not selling them, I just want a pair and need others to get in on this if Im to get a pair

I'm sure you'd find some interest on this board.
Any Idea what kind of price range we're talking?

In a somewhat related note.... I would be interested in a custom fiberglass rear panel for an 03 Explorer... you know the one's that always crack and re-crack.

ok, After thinking about it... I want a set!!
Let us know how it's going.

Why am I NOT surprised... Looking forward to the next morph.;)

LOL... ;)
The only think I'm not sure on is how I'll match it up with the rear, as I have the factory flares....I guess I could take them off and fill the holes...
Would probably look a bit odd to have flares on the rear and not on the front. :banghead:

I don't want to rain on your parade, but it looks like the rear door is part of the rear fender. Does it open? I need some fender flares, so this interests me but I want to wait to see it on a cleaner vehicle.

Not raining on my parade at all... That truck doesn't have a opening rear door, which is why I'm thinking about what I could do different in the rear.
I'm pretty sure he's only talking about only the front fenders...

Yeah that rear fender is a problem. I think we could find a good flare to put on there if the rear door wasn't so close. I don't even have the factory flares, so I think I am way illegal with over 1 1/2" of wheel sticking out.

The other thing I was thinking is making a new door skin, flare it out, and carry that through to the rear fender...
Maybe just shave the door handles so I don't haveto worry about extending the hardware out to the bulged area...

Sounds to complicated for me:confused:. I would love to see the results.

Im awaiting word back for the company thats going to lay them up.

They want at least 10 sets or its not worth their while. They need to pull the molds/plugs out of storage since they havent made these since 06.

thanks for the paitenece.

Doug
