Are the 03 explorer/mountaineer liftgates interchangeable?

Does anyone know if you can put an 03 (or that generation) liftgate from an explorer on a mercury mountaineer (that generation). I just crashed it and need a bumper, tail light, and liftgate, and the liftgate is frickin expensive.

The top/glass half of the gate is the same, yes.

If you're getting parts, get the whole Mounty rear end. Bumper, lights, everything, as the Explorer tails don't sit as low as the Mountaineer, so there will be a gap between the Explorer tails and the Mounty bumper if you were going that route...
