Are TPMS Sensors on 3rd Gens manually relearnable?

I have a TPMS sensor out in my rear passenger tire. I want to stick w/a Motorcraft sensor as I've learned these 3rd Gen 4.0 V6 trucks are a real PITA, & it's best to stay Motorcraft whenever & wherever possible. I've seen aftermarket ones be relearned w/out the special tool, by the turning the ignition back & forth 3 times, depress brake til horn blows, while truck is running & mssg center says "relearn front left," then go let air out of front driver's side tire til horn blows, mssg center then reads relearn right front, let air out til... etc, etc." And mine does just fine til it reads "relearn rear right," at which point I have let 10 or 15 lbs of air out & never does the horn blow. That's how I've narrowed it down to AT LEAST rear passenger side sensor, & I'm gonna order an extra for the driver's side passenger, & if it successfully relearns... I'll always have an extra TPMS sensor. But can I relearn a Motorcraft sensor manually like I described, or by driving the truck @ at least 50 mph for at least 10 minutes, or, bcuz I wanna stick w/Motorcraft, will I need to get the tool as well??? Any & all replies much appreciated!

I suspect the one has a dead battery and due to age of your vehicle the other three will soon follow. Doing one now does not make the most sense if they are the originals.
If it were mine I would bring to a tire shop get them all done. There is the possibility the system can be turned off using ForScan, I know in my 08 CVPI that can be done which has the banded sensors$$$

Walmart said they could replace them w/a set of universals & program & relearn them for, like, I wanna say 50 or 60ish bucks, which I was also considering.... Whadaya think abt going that route???

When I had a local tire place swap tires from OEM to aftermarket wheels on my Accord, he recommended Schrader EZ-sensor TPMS sensors. No problems with programming.

May actually try those since my truck has the feature where you can deflate the tires to 'bring them to life.'

@ExplorerRider , the tire place used his Snap-On programmer, and within 1/4 mile, my TPMS light was off, and all good.
