I bought a '92 recently that has an aftermarket sunroof. It is a power unit that tilts and slides into the head liner. No, it didn't work and yes, it was slathered with silicone.
After a lot of work, I have if functional.
I've spent a lot of time online researching. Info on ASC is very limited as they've sold a couple of times. There are still some parts available though.
Does anybody have and ASC roof? If so, do you have any literature for it?
The closed position sensor is either bad or possibly a NPN device. I haven't gone back to test that scenario.
I found and completely removed an ASC roof from a 1998 Explorer. It is slightly larger and does not have any common parts with the roof in the 1992 truck.
