Hey this is actually my first post tho ive been looking on here for a while. Well that was due to the fact i didnt have an explorer, but now im buying an 00' xlt gold X. Anyway what i want to know is with a 3" body lift whats the max tire size I can fit w/o rubing at all or to bad, while off roading. It would be great if anyone had a picture with a setup like im looking for so i can c how it looks. Also what type of tires should i be looking for. A/t M/t Im looking to get a black rim cuz i like they way an all black tire would look. Basically im looking for tire and wheel packages.

Do you know of any sites with tire and wheel packages?

Ummm. National tire, Rough country, 4wheel parts.

Youll probly be able to squeeze a 31x11.5 or 32x10.5 w/ no rubbing.

Far as a/t or m/t's, depends on the wheeling you'll be doing.

If youre going to be in a lot of mud, dont get a/t's because they arnt made for it. M/t's will be better for that. If youre gonna be on trails w/ a lot of sharp rocks, also pay attention to how many ply's the sidewall has. More difficult for a rock to slice thru a thick sidewall.

We have Interco Trxus m/t's & for the money they work pretty well on & off road. Thats one of those tires you want a lifetime balence on thou cause it takes a lot of weights to balence them so...

a/t's will have better road maners & get more miles from them. Most brands have thin sidewals & they arnt good in mud.

m/t's will be better in mud but dont have as good road manners & wear quicker. Will also have thicker sidewalls so more suited to rocks.

thx alot...the more i think about it the more i dont wanna do this lift myself haha...does anybody know of a shop in NJ, PA or NJ that would do it or will i have to kinda do it myself?
