Wanted atf transmission dipstick seal / o ring (2 maybe)

has anyone got o rings for the dip stick tube that sits inside the transmission? need that before this weekend and loosing enough fluid as it is. cheers

Sorry dude i know the one on a spare dip tube i have is fooked as i heated it up to get the tube out of tranny.
As a short term stop gap you could wrap the area the o ring goes with ptfe tape (the white stuff plumbers use. 70p from any DIY store
 






Do you have a bit of the old o-ring to measure the cross section, etc?
Take the dipstick to a local engineering suppliers to select an o-ring that fits.
Measure the diameter and width of the groove and look at the following site to find a suitable o-ring:

Halfords to a multi-pack of different sizes for a couple of quid, bound to find one the right size
 






would anyone happen to have the part number for it, gonna pester ford dealers about it, so far the genuine one from rockauto is the only source to get one for 9p plus 12 quid P+P.

cheers chriss, iv made a modification on the bracket holding the tube, so now the tube sits into the gearbox very tight and is working allright for now, if you do get that o ring out let me know cheers chriss
